This Suspension Upgrade Set increases front and rear roll stiffness giving your ABARTH a much improved, quick turn-in response and balanced handling. These bars give the track or autocross driver the ability to rotate the ABARTH on corner entry and steer with the throttle when necessary, taking performance to the next level with confidence.
The set consists of a Front Anti-Roll Bar and a Rear Torsion Bar.
This Front Anti-Roll Bar is made with aerospace grade steel material with remarkable shape memory and is formed utilizing CNC Mandrel bender which ensures smooth bends, accurate shape and consistency through out its length. The bar also features forged ends with 2 hole for a 3-way adjustability that allows suspension to be finely tuned for optimum handling balance.
Also Included are billet aluminum 7075-T6 CNC machined bushing clamps with a black hard anodized finish for durability. The billet clamps are equipped with grease fittings which allow users to re-grease the bushings with ease. The low resistance, graphite impregnated urethane bushings round out the package.
These Bars will improve cornering potential due to increased front/rear roll stiffness that offers definite track and autocross advantage over stock anti-roll bars. Increased slip angle will allow power to be applied earlier during corner exit.
The FIAT 500 ABARTH's rear suspension does not have a common 'sway bar' because, technically, no part of it is connected to the subframe. We call this a torsion bar because it works by countering any twisting motion on FIAT's rear axle beam (and not independent) suspension.
This 28mm rear torsion bar is the perfect upgrade from the 22mm stock diameter bar. Its diameter has enough size jump to actually make a difference and keep the back-end flat. This will essentially help to induce more over steer. If you drive your ABARTH as it meant to be driven, then you need this bar to take the handling to the next level.
