GFB’s DV+ diverter valve for the FIAT 124 offers a direct-fit performance solution for the weaker factory diverter valves used.

Many late-model European cars like the FIAT use ECU controlled solenoid-type diverter valves. This is a good concept because the valve can react very quickly and it only opens when it needs to.

However, there are some problems with these valves. There are typically two types of solenoid-actuated diverter valves found standard on VAG and European cars, both of which have their shortcomings.



GFB has taken a different approach to deliver a complete solution that solves existing problems and improves performance, without compromise or a hefty price tag.

The DV+ addresses the factory valve problems with a very simple and elegant solution. Keeping the factory solenoid retains all the benefits of the stock system, and replacing the valve parts with indestructible metal components ensures strength and reliability no matter how much boost you run.

That's not all. Rather than using the solenoid to directly actuate the valve, we’ve introduced a unique “pilot-actuation” system. This means the solenoid controls the air pressure that is used to open and close the piston, so it doesn't matter how much boost you push through it, the DV+ will open and close reliably without ever exceeding the solenoid’s capability.

This feature also improves on the factory system by opening the valve progressively in response to boost pressure, so it only opens as much as required to get the job done (the factory valve simply opens and shuts, it cannot partially open if boost pressure is low), resulting in better throttle response.

First off, I am not a picky person when it comes to packaging as long as the item arrives in good condition...but I absolutely love the attention to detail that GFB did when shipping the DV+. The instructions were clear and easy and very straightforward.

The actual install was cake on my 500L. I have an Injen cold air intake and all I did was loosen and rotate the coupler adjustment part out of the way, no need to completely remove the intake. 3 5mm hex bolts and a quick unclip of the wire and the DV was off.

Install was quick, easy enough that I did it sitting in the car.

Favorite upgrade yet!

No more hesitation and stutter under WOT, acceleration is so smooth and consistent. It doesnt necessarily feel faster (wasnt expecting a HP increase anyways) but it doesnt try and fall on its face after every shift.

Highly recommended for any person, it will make you love the car even more.

Fairly simple install, three bolts and swapping a few pieces from the factory valve. Is a weird location to twist your hands into regarding the bolts. Not sure that it added power but boost holds and allows easier boost during shifting to ensure there is plenty of power without slamming the shifter. Another piece to the puzzle that is worth the time and effort to install.
